William Oliver Hall 79 of 1026 Bergen Ave. Linden, N.J. passed away Thursday, November 23, 2023 at Robert Wood Medical Hospital in Rahway, N.J. William (Teddy) was born on August 28, 1944 to Lossie Hobbs-Hall and Oliver Hall. He attended Hargrove High School in Clinton, North Carolina. William was baptized at an baptized at an early age. In 1974 Joined Union Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. John H. Smith, Trustee Board, Maintenance, Senior Choir, Deacon Board, Usher Board and Men's Auxiliary. He was Honored by the NAACP where he received the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2013 Roselle Branch, Myrtle Counts, President He loved fishing, working on cars and yard work was a passions of his. He worked Frank's Garage for years. He worked for Rahway board of Education in Custodial/Maintenance until his retirement. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lossie Hobbs- Hall and father Oliver Hall; two sisters Fannie Rae Merritt and Shirley Hall- Best and two brothers, Lewis Hall and Bobbie Hall. He leaves to cherish his fond memories: His wife of 47 years Carmen Hall, three daughters: Joann Holmes of North Carolina, Nona Kordigay of North Carolina, Mona Hall-Dixon(Waliyy) of Linden N.J., two sons Tony Oates of North Carolina and Troy S.Hall of N.J. two sisters; Mary Frances Cobbs (William) Clara Atkinson (Clarence) One brother, Harold Hall (Joann) three grandsons: Corey, Quinton and Quintrell Dixon of Linden, NJ one Special Goddaughter Arlene Coleman, multiple Nieces, Nephews, cousins and friends.
