Howard F. Fish Sr, was born on Holloween Day, October 31, 1935 in Roselle, New Jersey. Quietly, He transitioned from earth to eternity on December 24, 2023.
Howard known as Howie, was a twin to his identical brother Harold, and one of Twelve siblings.
Howard attended Roselle, NJ public school system and joined the U.S Marine Corps at camp Lejune N.C. During that time Howard was married, and from that union was born three children; Michelle Fish White, Howard F. Fish jr, and Ingrid Fish. Howard Later had a child, Brandie Burns and was actively instrumental in the lives of her older siblings Jerrold Burns, and DeLisa Burns Boyd.
Howard would honorably discharge from the Marines, and worked for Father Brothers Lumber Company in Cranford, NJ and was later employed by Public Service Bus Company, known now as New Jersey Transit until his retirement.
Howard actively attended, and was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Cranford, NJ where his cousin, Spiritual Guidance Counselor, and Pastor, Rev. Alfred Brown Jr., lead him to Christ.
Howie loved family, friends, celebrating birthdays, driving and his community. He would often drive throughout Roselle, Linden, and Rahway, greeting people he’s known for years and all of his life.
Howie took great pride in being a Veteran, and would often encourage those who served in the military to take part of the benefits that were offered and available through the VA.
There was nothing more important to Howie than being a twin which was held in very high esteem.
Bowling, horseshoes, and photo taking were his favorite things to do. Fashion shows, community events, church cookouts, and family gatherings, you could look up and there he was dressed, smiling and photo shot ready!
Howard was preceded in death by his parents, George sr and Agnes Fish. Siblings George Jr, Geraldine, Albert, Edward, Rodrick, Carol, Walter, Justine, and Barry Fish.
Howard leaves to cherish his four children, three siblings; Harold Fish (wife Sarah) Frederick Fish (wife Sandra)and Elizabeth Fish. 16 grandchildren,13 great grand children and 2 great-great grandchildren and a “Very large host of nieces,nephews, cousins and friends who will miss Howard.
The family would like to thank you for celebrating Howard’s homecoming.
