Dorothy E. Givens was born June 25,1938 in Brooklyn, New York and peacefully transition form earth to eternity on December 8,2023
Dorothy was preceded by her parents and one brother
Dorothy was educated in the Brooklyn public school system. She later moved to Roselle Nj where she began to devote her life to raising a family.
Dorothy worked for RCA in Rahway NJ, frequently attended Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church and was very much involved in family gatherings and events.
Dorothy and family later moved to New Brunswick New Jersey where she worked for Middlesex County Hospital and shortly after met and Married Ceicel Givens August 8, 1987 the two moved to Maryland in 1988. She retired as a sales rep at Montgomery Ward in 2000.
Dorothy attended Central Baptist Church in Fort Washington, Maryland, she loved to travel ,recipe cooking, home decorating, gardening, and most of all shopping.
Dorothy loved her family dearly, she was a very chic and classy dresser so it was very important to her that you not only look good on the outside, but also from the inside out, educated was an important factor in her endeavors .
Dorothy leaves to cherish Her husband of 37 years Ceicel Givens, 3 Children one son Howard Fish Jr.(Plainfield Nj) Michelle Fish White ,Cinnaminson Nj,
Ingrid Fish , Newman, Georgia
One Sister Elzina Gripper ,Glenburine MD
Five grandchildren Kia ,Shakeena, Howard (Wise) ,Ameania,Ryan, Danielle,Bridgett,Kenya,Andrea and Miya.
eight grandchildren 13 great and one great great grandchild
Three stepsons one step granddaughter, and one step great granddaughter
Andrea a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
